Frank Feldman Law is a small, well-established Toronto law firm with a strong emphasis on real estate-related litigation and dispute resolution. We are a future-thinking and proactive practice that provides clients with practical, strategic and responsive legal advice.

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-directed Associate Lawyer to join our practice and assist with a variety of matters including real estate and commercial litigation.

This position is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who is looking for meaningful hands-on experience, professional development and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility within a smaller firm environment.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will work closely with the firm's principal and will have the opportunity to become involved in all aspects of real estate-related and commercial litigation, including:

- Conducting legal research and preparing legal opinions and memoranda;
- Drafting pleadings, motions, affidavits, factums and other court documents;
- Assisting with examinations for discovery, motions, mediations and settlement negotiations;
- Preparing for and assisting with hearings and trials;
- Reviewing and analyzing contracts, agreements, title documents and other real estate documentation;
- Communicating with clients, opposing counsel and other professionals;
- Managing files and assisting with the day-to-day conduct of litigation matters; and
- Developing practical litigation and advocacy skills through direct involvement in files.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a lawyer who is:

- Self-motivated, proactive and capable of working independently;




- A strong analytical and legal writer;
- Detail-oriented and well organized;
- Interested in developing a practice focused on litigation;
- Professional, personable and committed to providing excellent client service;
- Comfortable taking initiative and accepting increasing responsibility; and
- A member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario.

Solid litigation skills and prior experience in real estate, civil litigation or real estate-related litigation are assets.
