Job Overview
We are seeking a agile and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations within our food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing customer interactions, and maintaining efficient kitchen and restaurant operations. Previous experience in restaurant management, food handling, and team supervision is essential to succeed in this position.

Duties

- Supervise daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality service
- Lead and motivate team members, including interviewing, training, and evaluating staff performance
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling processes to maintain safety and quality standards
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling accurately
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a positive dining experience
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production schedules and inventory management
- Monitor staff schedules, assign tasks, and ensure adequate coverage during shifts
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant environment in accordance with health regulations




- Support hospitality initiatives by creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests

Qualifications

- Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling skills required
- Excellent leadership abilities with prior team management experience in a hospitality setting
- Background in food service, restaurant operations, or hotel industry preferred
- Ability to oversee food handling procedures and ensure compliance with health standards
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy shifts
- Experience in interviewing prospective staff and managing restaurant teams is highly desirable
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards including serving, barista experience or hotel experience is advantageous
