Job Overview
This job position is best suited for a glazier technician with a minimum of 5 years experience. All work will be performed in our current, clean, factory in the South Surrey/South Langley region. You will be a key part in our team of experienced kiln forming glass artists and technicians, supporting a vibrant, successful company with a global reputation. The position requires a skilled technician, someone who can handle power tools, and pays attention to detail. This is not a "bull in china shop" position.

Responsibilities

- Measure and cut flat glass in various thicknesses
- Seam or hand polish edges of glass panels
- Prep glass panels with strategic cleaning methods. Training in handheld and industrial polishing equipment will be provided.
- Load various size panels in our industrial kilns
- Inspect and polish the glass surfaces of all panels we produce
- Load panels into our solid wood crates, for shipping to clients worldwide
- Learn how to produce our kiln formed textured glass for sample production




- Learn our company shipping techniques

Qualifications

Experience in handling flat glass panels is a must and applicant must be in good shape and able to lift light and heavy glass panels. Experience with hand tools is also a must as grinding and polishing of glass surfaces and edges is a large component of this position. If you have Framing or Carpentry experience and are skilled with power saws, sanders, drills, polishers, etc, that will be very beneficial.

We produce a very high end, artistic glass, and need technicians who are highly skilled.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
