This hybrid position requires the ability to work from our Mississauga office. The General Accountant reports directly to Accounting Manager and will be a key member of the accounting team supporting multiple subsidiary accounting. The role includes but is not limited to preparation and management of the month end close, reconciliation and investigation of account balances, budget to actual variance analysis, supporting the external audit, and liaising with various parties within the organization. Reconcile and manage balance sheet accounts by completing general ledger reconciliations (fixed assets, prepaid assets, accrued payables, bank/cash), understanding underlying balances, investigating, and resolving discrepancies within month
Review income statement and balance sheet trending against historical data and budgets, resolve any identified issues, and document explanations
Maintain control over GL inputs by ensuring that any system reports are complete and accurate, and all GL attributes have been correctly captured in entries performed by your team and others
Coordinate with Accounts Payable and FP&A; teams to resolve matters pertaining to GL coding discrepancies
Maintain and enhance current process to improve day to day and month end processes while maintaining all required controls and documentation.
2-3 years of accounting experience
~ Solid accounting knowledge with the ability to apply general concepts to unique situations
~ Bonus Skills:

Degree in Accounting or equivalent
Enrollment or working towards CPA designation
Experience with NetSuite is an asset
Experience with Copilot and Claude Cowork is an asset
$The Canada base salary range for this position is $72,000 - $80,000 + bonus + perks, non-overtime eligible. Retirement Plan Matching
