You will own day-to-day accounting operations, including the close, technical accounting, and audit readiness. You will lead a team of 9 (3 direct reports) and play a central role in integrating systems and future acquisitions. Accounting Operations & Close
Oversee GL, A/P, and revenue accounting, including account reconciliations and journal entry review.
Own equity accounting, including stock-based compensation and cap table reconciliation.
Prepare and review monthly financial statements and flux analysis, and provide inputs to management reporting.
Own regulatory, tax-support, and lender/bank covenant compliance reporting.
Partner with external auditors to deliver clean audits, including PBC lists, technical memos, and timely issue resolution.
Controls, Policy & Process
Design, document, and maintain accounting policies,



procedures, and internal controls.
Identify and lead process improvements and automation (e.g., close tooling, NetSuite workflows, reconciliation and reporting automation) with measurable outcomes.
Leverage AI tools such as Claude to automate manual accounting work (e.g., flux commentary, reconciliations, journal entry prep, and documentation) while maintaining strong controls and review standards.
M&A; Integration
~ Lead accounting due diligence support and post-close integration: opening balance sheets, purchase price accounting (ASC 805), system migration, and harmonization of policies and procedures.

Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team; Serve as a trusted business partner to senior leadership, translating accounting issues into clear, actionable guidance.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years managing people.

- Public accounting or audit background (Big 4 a plus) and industry experience in technology.
- Hands-on experience with an ERP (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
- Proven track record improving close, controls, and processes.
- Claude) to streamline accounting workflows, with a practical understanding of how to validate AI output and keep it audit-ready.
- Experience with M&A; accounting, purchase price accounting, and integrations (strongly preferred).
- comfortable working independently and adapting to shifting priorities.

This position offers a salary range of $172,000 - $188,000 CAD per year plus participation in a discretionary bonus plan.
