The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist I in the Diagnostic Imaging Department performs a variety of diagnostic x-ray procedures. The work involves producing diagnostic images, which are interpreted by physicians and used in medical diagnosis; setting up, processing x-ray images, and positioning patients using standard anatomical positioning techniques; assisting senior technologists and radiologists to perform a variety of procedures; Constantly lifts, moves objects, repositions, pushes and pulls objects and transports patients to and from testing area, less than 10 lbs. Graduation from a recognized (accredited) program in Medical Radiography Technology is required.

Current registration and member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) is required.

A satisfactory record of work performance is required.
