The company now has 30 agencies across North America and Europe, and has more than 500 passionate engineering employees.This hybrid position is available in all of our office locations in Canada.Responsibilities and Duties:The candidate will play a key role in project management by ensuring planning, cost and schedule control, as well as the design, programming, and commissioning of automated systemsDefine customer needsDesign automated systems and select equipment (controls, instrumentation, motor controls, control panel design, etc.)Participate in system testing and commissioningManage factory automation projects: planning, supervision, change control, and reporting on budget, schedule, and resources, manufacturers, and contractorsPrepare specifications, plans,



and estimatesCollaborate with the interdisciplinary project teamFollow up with equipment suppliersBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in automated production engineering (APE), electrical engineering, or equivalent.Member of a Skilled Engineering Association in Alberta or British Columbia (EGBC or APEGA)5-6 years’ experiencein the field of industrial automationKnowledge of Allen Bradley, Rockwell, and Siemens productsExperience in the food and/or pharmaceutical industry (an asset)Occasional visits to clientsPreferred QualificationsStrong leadership, relationship management, organizational planning and project management skills, in addition to technical knowledgeEntrepreneurial mindset and desire for business development.Programming PLCs and user interfacesAbility to exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining resultsAbility to influence clients, suppliers and peers into adopting "best practices" in the engineering fieldExcellent communication skills - verbal, written, listening and interpersonal with the ability to
