Position Summary This position is primarily responsible for providing brokerage and logistics services to clients, and serving as the key contact for specific client accounts.
Key Responsibilities (Supervisory/Materials/Information) Analyze documentation to determine appropriate tariff classification, duty and tax rate.
Prepare import and export documents; consult appropriate governmental legislation
Complete weekly manual billing in adherence to client contract and approve invoices for payment.
Communicate with warehouse personnel, approving shipments in a timely fashion and resolving any problems / issues that may develop.
Maintain files, photocopy, fax and distribute information as required
Perform a variety of other duties as required and as assigned by management
Resolves client inquires, including tracking and tracing shipments, billing problems etc and contact client to obtain necessary information.
Education and Experience 3 Years brokerage experience
Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation, in valuable standing

Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent and accurate data entry skills

Ability to focus on computer screen and / or written material for extended periods of time
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
Must work under deadlines and related stresses in a timely and effective manner
Must be able to professionally handle various personnel and other situations as they arise
May need to work the occasional Statutory Holiday or overtime, as needed
