The Theatre Technician will oversee all technical requirements and deliver related qualified services for all events within the DCC, and on occasion within other City facilities. Included is accommodating requests made by performing artists and user groups,



often with little advanced notice and finding solutions to maintain the safety and/or artistic integrity of the performance.Candidates will have demonstrated experience in production management, touring productions and venue reconfigurations. A diploma or degree from a technical theatre program or equivalent and minimum 2 to 5 years directly related experience is required. Knowledge and experience in carpentry, lighting, audio and video, and proficiency in a variety of computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Windows Media, Quick Time and AutoCAD drafting is essential.
