Job DescriptionInsight Global is seeking a Director, Personal & Business Banking Controller to join a leading financial institution in Toronto. This individual will lead the controllership function supporting Personal and Business Banking, including Cards, Mortgages, Personal Lending, and loan loss provision activities. The Director will oversee a team of 17 accounting professionals across onshore and offshore delivery, with responsibility for accurate and timely month-end close, daily settlements, financial reporting, reconciliations, accounting governance, and internal controls. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to senior Finance and business stakeholders, providing accounting guidance, investigative analysis, and decision support for strategic initiatives and complex financial matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial reporting integrity, strengthening process controls, managing audit requirements, and driving automation, standardization, and continuous improvement across Finance operations. They will also provide leadership, coaching, and development to the accounting team while managing priorities, escalations, succession planning, and knowledge riskSkills and Requirements Current CPA designation or equivalent8+ years of relevant accounting or controllership experience within a large, full-service financial institutionStrong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting requirements,
