As a Surgical Processor, you will support the Medical Device Reprocessing program as a casual/relief employee. The work includes preparing hospital supplies, equipment, and surgical instruments for use. You will also verify working order, complete testing, and report problems appropriately.

Key Responsibilities:
Decontaminate hospital supplies, equipment, and surgical instrumentation
Reassemble supplies, equipment, and surgical instrumentation
Sterilize hospital supplies, equipment, and surgical instrumentation




Apply aseptic technique and Universal Precautions
Perform biological, chemical, and quality assurance testing

Requirements:
Complete an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing program
Hold HSPA or CSA certification
Ensure instrumentation and equipment remain in proper working order
Report problems to the supervisor or designate
Work casual/relief shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and on call
