Support surgical recovery patients at Royal Columbian Hospital with clinical assessment, emergency response, and person centered nursing care.

Fraser Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for post anesthetic recovery care at Royal Columbian Hospital in Recent Westminster. This position provides direct nursing care to patients recovering from anesthetics within PACU. You will recognize acuity changes, respond to emergencies, and communicate with patients, families, physicians, and interprofessional care teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Collect and evaluate clinical information through patient assessment
Recognize acuity changes and initiate required treatment
Adjust care as patient needs change
Communicate patient condition changes to care teams




Establish therapeutic relationships through empathy and advocacy

Requirements:
Approved School of Nursing graduation
Current practicing BCCNM Registered Nurse registration
One year recent relevant clinical nursing experience
Applicable postgraduate coursework or certification
Ability to manage emergency situations involving patients and families

Use clinical reasoning, patient advocacy, and emergency nursing abilities while caring for surgical recovery patients in PACU.
