As a Casual Nursing Unit Assistant, you will help maintain accurate information and smooth communication across a healthcare unit. The work includes scheduling patient or resident appointments, transcribing information, updating relevant systems, and maintaining charts. You will also manage clerical records, statistics, reports, supplies, meeting minutes, and time-keeping information for payroll systems. Day shifts run Monday to Friday, either 07:00 to 15:00 or 08:00 to 16:00. Casual hours range from 0 to 37.5 weekly, with short-notice and pre-scheduled shifts available to cover leaves.

Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and coordinate patient or resident appointments




Maintain charts and enter patient or resident data
Transcribe information into MARS, Kardex, and Careplan
Prepare statistics, reports, supplies, and meeting minutes
Maintain staff time-keeping records for payroll submission

Requirements:
Availability for Monday to Friday day shifts
Flexibility for casual hours and leave coverage
Ability to coordinate and transcribe physicians' orders
Ability to perform keyboarding, filing, and data entry
Ability to relay call-signal messages appropriately
