Plan hands-on activities for children at Kiwassa Neighbourhood House, supporting secure, inclusive care in a part time East Vancouver contract.

The Out of School Care Leader works Monday to Friday with children ages 6 to 12. This position develops curriculum with staff and the coordinator, assesses children’s needs, and implements experiences within a child-centred environment. The program supports vulnerable children, including those facing trauma-related learning challenges or food, housing, or settlement insecurities.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop curriculum and implement hands-on group activities
Assess abilities and adapt activities appropriately
Create and maintain healthy, protected spaces
Consult the Children’s Program Coordinator when necessary
Maintain relationships with schools and staff members

Requirements:
Enthusiastic and experienced approach to after school care
One year of recent related experience
Emergency Child Care First Aid or timely certification
Must be at least 19 years old
