- Function Health is hiring a Director, Strategy and Operations to serve as the strategic and operational engine behind the Marketing & Communications organization. This role is part chief of staff, part strategist, part operator: you'll own the planning cadence, budget, and prioritization process for the function, build the systems and tools that let the team move fast, and act as a trusted thought partner to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. You'll bring order and rigor to a rapid-moving, high-visibility organization — without slowing down the creativity and speed that make it work
- Own the annual and quarterly planning process for Marketing & Communications — goals, priorities,
and resourcing — in partnership with the CMCO and function leads
- Establish and run the operating cadence for the organization: leadership team meetings, quarterly business reviews, all-hands, and prioritization reviews
- Translate strategy into clear execution plans, timelines, and accountability across Brand, Communications, Talent & Creator, Social, and Creative
- Own budget planning, tracking, and reporting for the Marketing & Communications organization, partnering with Finance on forecasting and reconciliation
- Manage vendor and agency contracts, procurement, and spend governance across the function
- Build the business case and resourcing plan for new initiatives, tools, and hires
- Own the marketing and communications technology stack — evaluating, implementing, and administering the tools that keep the team efficient
- Build dashboards and reporting that connect marketing and communications activity to brand and business outcomes for the CMCO and executive team
- Design scalable processes for intake, prioritization, and cross-team workflow as the organization grows
- Serve as a strategic thought partner and de facto chief of staff to the CMCO — preparing briefings, board and executive materials, and key talking points
- Represent Marketing & Communications in cross-company planning, ensuring alignment with Product, Sales, CS, and other functions
- Anticipate needs, unblock issues, and keep major initiatives moving across a fast-paced, matrixed organization
- Build and lead the Strategy & Operations function over time as the organization scales
- Set the standard for operational excellence and rigor across the broader Marketing & Communications team
- This role reports to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer and will be a founding member of the Marketing & Communications leadership team, with the opportunity to build out a Strategy & Operations function over time ### Benefits
