About the Role
Our client is seeking a Real Estate Associate with a focus on Commercial Leasing and 1–3 years of post-call experience to join its growing Real Estate group.
Working closely with experienced partners, you will be involved in a broad range of commercial leasing matters, including advising both landlords and tenants on sophisticated transactions involving office, retail, industrial and mixed-use properties.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial leases and related documentation
- Advising clients on a variety of commercial leasing matters
- Preparing lease amendments, renewals, assignments and subleases
- Conducting legal research and preparing client memoranda
- Assisting with complex leasing transactions and portfolio management matters
- Collaborating closely with partners and clients to provide practical, business-focused legal advice

What You Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
- 1–3 years of post-call experience in commercial real estate or commercial leasing
- Experience drafting and reviewing commercial lease agreements
- A solid understanding of Canadian commercial leasing law
- Strong drafting, analytical and negotiation skills
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication abilities
- Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario (or eligibility for admission through the applicable mobility process)
