Organizational Skills Job Overview At Unique Contract Interiors, the role of the Estimator is to put project bids together for commercial restaurant and hospitality projects pertaining to the furniture scope of work Unique Contract Interiors would manufacture and supply. The successful applicant must be organized, ambitious, and able to meeting bid deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure quoted materials are accurately priced as per company standards.
- Fill out estimating spreadsheets to calculate the final bid dollar value and scope of work.
- Communicate with clients and suppliers on project specifics.
- Ensure received drawings and scope of work are accurate.
- Calculate textile yardages and board footage of foams.
- Notify our clients when submitting a bid if projects are discontinued, back ordered, or priced as an alternative compared to the current project specifications.
- As required, travel to job sites to confirm measurements for estimating.
- Handle customer inquiries for new estimating leads.
- Finish project estimates in a timely and efficient manner prior to tender cut offs.

Employee needs to meet occupational health and safety regulations and wear the appropriate safety equipment while on site or in the back shop floor:
- Steel Toe Boots (REQUIRED on Shop Floor and Applicable Job Sites)
- Industrial Gloves, Eye Protection, Hard Hat (AS REQUIRED on Job Sites) Qualifications
- Read, write & speak English clearly.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and personal vehicle.
- Previous work with Upholstery or Furniture Manufacturing is an asset.
- Previous estimating experience is an asset.
- Construction and building knowledge an asset.
- Ability to read a tape measure and other measuring devices in both metric and imperial.
- Computer knowledge
- including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Prior experience with SAGE accounting software is an asset.
- Ability to communicate with colleagues, clients and suppliers.
- Positive attitude, motivated, & willing to learn. Salary and Benefits This position will be based on a salary of $50,000
- $80,000 commiserate with experience. Unique Contract Interiors offers extended Health and Dental benefits after a 3 month probationary period. Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
