Line Cook – Middle Eastern & Mediterranean Cuisine Opal Palace is looking for experienced and dependable Line Cooks to join our culinary team. We are seeking candidates with experience preparing Middle Eastern, Levantine and Mediterranean dishes, particularly those who are comfortable working on the BBQ and grill station, handling food preparation, and assisting the Chef during busy restaurant and event service. This is a hands-on kitchen position suited to someone who works well in a fast-paced workplace and takes pride in consistency, cleanliness and quality.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Middle Eastern, Levantine and Mediterranean dishes
- Work confidently on the BBQ, charcoal and grill station
- Prepare grilled meats, chicken, kebabs and other menu items according to restaurant standards
- Assist the Head Chef and senior kitchen team with daily food preparation and cooking
- Follow recipes, portion sizes and plating standards
- Complete mise en place before service
- Prepare vegetables, sauces, marinades, proteins and other ingredients
- Maintain consistency in taste, cooking temperature and presentation
- Support restaurant, banquet and event food production
- Assist during high-volume service and large events
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Properly store, label and rotate food products
- Follow food safety, sanitation and kitchen procedures
- Help with opening and closing kitchen duties
- Communicate effectively with chefs and other kitchen team members Qualifications




- Previous experience as a Line Cook, Grill Cook, Prep Cook or similar kitchen position
- Experience with Middle Eastern or Mediterranean cuisine strongly preferred
- Experience working with BBQ, grill and grilled meat preparation
- Good knife and food-preparation skills
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a culinary team
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety
