Lead commercial construction estimating with 12+ years of experience, guiding complex bids, cost analysis, and tender strategy for an established general contractor.
Reporting to the VP of Construction, the Chief Estimator leads the estimating department across commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. The role oversees Senior, Estimator, and Junior Estimators while shaping accurate, competitive, and profitable bids. You will support preconstruction, business development, and executive planning.
Key Responsibilities: Lead estimating department bids, budgets, and cost estimates
Manage estimating staff, workload, mentoring, and succession planning
Establish estimating standards, policies, and best practices
Lead go/no-go decisions, risk reviews, and tender closings
Oversee project handoffs, cost data,



and performance reporting
Requirements: 12+ years of progressive commercial, industrial, or institutional estimating experience
Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related diploma or degree
Experience leading and mentoring estimating teams
Knowledge of Lump Sum, Construction Management, and Design-Build delivery
Solid financial, analytical, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
