Job Description :
Our client is looking for a Project Manager to join the team.

Must Have Primary Skills :

Bachelor’s degree in engineering; or a relevant technical certificate or diploma with10+ years of relevant experience;

5+ years of project management experience in a construction environment;

Experience with utility construction in energized substations and knowledgeable inthe hazards and appropriate safe work practices;

Understanding and experience with project permitting, environmental assessmentsand stakeholder engagement;

Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is highly desirable; and

Experience in major equipment and construction services procurement including;Request for Proposal development, tendering, evaluating, contract negotiationsand contract administration.

Nice To Have Secondary Skills :

Thorough understanding and experience of foundation Project Management processes and procedures aligned with the Project Management Body of Knowledge.





Experience and knowledge around Alberta Electric System Operator project lifecycle is highly desirable

Proven Experience In :
The Project Manager is accountable for all aspects of project delivery from project inceptionthrough to close out, including: Manage a portfolio of projects of varying degrees of size and complexity from projectinception through to project close out; Ensure the safe execution of all projects by supporting hazard identification and safework planning at all phases of the project. Ensure conformance to all relevantOccupational, Health and Safety (OH&S;”) legislation and clients’s internal HSEpolicies and procedures; Manage project budgets according to client's Capital Investment Policy, maintainup-to-date project forecasts and complete internal change approvals in a timelymanner.

Skills

Operating Systems Experience In at least 10 years of experience with/in Project Manager (Non IT)

Soft Skills Experience In at least 5 years of experience with/in Construction Management

Industry experience required:
