Job Summary Metal framers assemble, install, and repair metal framing components for construction and restoration projects. The work involves interpreting plans, selecting appropriate tools, and handling materials safely while coordinating with colleagues to keep projects moving. Duties
- Read blueprints and schematics to identify framing layouts, measurements, and installation requirements.
- Measure, cut, position, and secure metal framing using hand and power tools; lift and move materials safely.
- Support related work such as concrete forming, drywall, siding, restoration, carpentry, and woodworking as project needs require.
- Operate heavy equipment or assist with welding and concrete finishing when appropriate to the assigned work and capabilities.
