Job Summary Multelec Electrical Engineering & Industrial Solutions Inc. is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and results-driven Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will possess robust technical engineering expertise, practical knowledge of electrical design standards, and experience with power distribution, electrical equipment, control systems, and project execution. What You'll Do

- Design, develop, and review electrical systems for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure applications.
- Prepare electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, layouts, and technical specifications.
- Perform electrical load calculations, equipment sizing, voltage drop analysis, and power distribution assessments.
- Support the design and implementation of low
- and medium-voltage electrical systems.
- Select and evaluate electrical equipment, switchgear, transformers, motors, cables, and protective devices.
- Conduct technical assessments, feasibility studies, and engineering calculations.
- Collaborate with mechanical, civil, instrumentation, automation, and project management teams.
- Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable Canadian Electrical Code requirements, Alberta regulations, and relevant industry standards.
- Participate in engineering design reviews, technical meetings, and project planning activities.
- Provide technical support during electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.




- Review vendor drawings, equipment specifications, procurement documents, and technical submissions.
- Assist with electrical protection coordination, grounding, and power system studies.
- Identify engineering risks and recommend solutions to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation, design revisions, and project records.
- Support project schedules, technical deliverables, cost estimates, and quality assurance activities. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 3–5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, industrial electrical design, power systems, or related engineering projects.
- Eligibility for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
- Professional Engineer (P.
Eng.) designation in Alberta is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution, circuit design, electrical equipment, and protection systems.
- Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code, applicable Alberta electrical safety requirements, and relevant CSA standards.
- Experience using AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or similar engineering software.
- Ability to prepare and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, technical specifications, and engineering calculations.




- Experience with industrial electrical installations, commissioning, or equipment troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of PLC systems, motor control centres, variable frequency drives, or industrial automation is an asset.
- Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
