The Information Designer transforms complex data and concepts into clear, engaging, and accessible visual formats. This role blends design thinking, storytelling, and technical skills to create infographics, reports, presentations, dashboards, and other visual communication tools that support decision-making, learning, and engagement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and update existing training modules to improve content accuracy, clarity, visual appeal, and overall instructional effectiveness.
- Research, write, and compile engaging content for both learner-facing materials and instructor guides, ensuring alignment with learning objectives.
- Design skilled layouts, graphics, and visuals for learner and instructor materials using brand-consistent styling and best practices in information design.
- Collaborate closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop detailed storyboards that outline content flow, interactions, and multimedia elements.
- Create and produce new eLearning modules, incorporating interactive elements, animations, and multimedia to enhance learner engagement.
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) by adding, modifying, or archiving content and user accounts to support seamless program delivery.
- Develop, write, and maintain practical job aids, quick-reference guides,



and user manuals that complement and reinforce core learning programs. About You
- Completion of (or currently enrolled in) a post-secondary program in Information Design, Instructional Design, Technical Writing, Graphic Design, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Demonstrated competency in instructional design, technical writing and information design.
- Ability to adhere to a consistent visual style that fits within brand guidelines.
- Strong visual layout and graphic presentation skills with good attention to detail.
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts and video scripts.
- Experience with graphics/illustration tools such as Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop is preferred. Total Rewards At Blackline Safety,
