Shape responsive vehicle handling as an experienced Designer at Velan Studios, working hybrid or onsite from Troy, New York, or Toronto, Ontario.
You'll lead gameplay feature development with the Game Director and other designers. The work spans level content, racing mechanics, scripting, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. You will help create a new racing concept from prototype through launch.
Key Responsibilities: Lead gameplay feature design with the Game Director and designers
Prototype and implement level content throughout the product lifecycle
Develop vehicle-based racing mechanics with programming teams
Create racecourse obstacles and power-up types
Collaborate with art, animation, audio, and gameplay teams
Requirements: Five or more years of design experience
At least one shipped title
Ability to lead a small cross-discipline sub-team
General scripting proficiency
Robust cross-disciplinary communication skills
Bring racing design, gameplay prototyping, scripting, and leadership experience to Velan Studios' Troy or Toronto team.
