Lead corporate accounting and financial reporting for the City of Maple Ridge as Deputy Director of Finance in a regular full-time role. Apply PSAS and internal controls while supporting accurate municipal decisions.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will lead accounting, payroll, financial reporting, and internal financial control functions. You will prepare annual financial statements and statutory reports under legislation, City policies, delegated authority, and Public Sector Accounting Standards. The position advises departments, senior management, and Council-facing processes while supporting financial planning and policy development.

Prepare annual financial statements and statutory financial reports
Oversee accounting records, payroll operations,



and external audit coordination
Supervise accounting and payroll leaders while developing staff
Provide financial analysis, advice, reports, and recommendations
Requirements: Business Administration degree and CPA or CA designation
Seven years of progressively responsible accounting and reporting experience
Three to five years supervising professional and support staff
Experience applying PSAS and maintaining internal financial controls
Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver’s License
Bring municipal accounting leadership, PSAS expertise, payroll oversight, and explicit financial reporting to the City of Maple Ridge.
