Advance protected physical intelligence at LG’s Toronto AI Lab using robotic foundation models and reinforcement learning in a hybrid setting. Work three days weekly on-site in Downtown Toronto.
As a Senior Physical AI Research Scientist, you will develop robotic agents that perceive, reason, and act safely under uncertainty. Your work spans computer vision, natural language processing, multimodal learning, and robotics. The team builds reliable systems for industrial, home, and humanoid robots.
Key Responsibilities: Design robot safety verification and monitoring modules
Develop imitation, reinforcement, and multimodal learning algorithms
Fine-tune VLMs, VLAs, and world models
Build simulation-to-reality transfer pipelines




Mentor researchers and shape research direction
Requirements: PhD with three-plus years post-graduate research experience
Strong publications in top-tier AI or robotics venues
Expertise in computer vision, NLP, reinforcement learning, and robotics
Strong PyTorch and/or JAX proficiency
Experience evaluating complex machine learning systems rigorously
Apply physical AI research, safety architecture, and foundation-model expertise to reliable robotic agents at LG Toronto AI Lab.
