It interprets the Building By-law, directs Project Coordinators, and supports permit issuance. Key Responsibilities: Oversee Certified Professional projects and required application information
Complete direct code reviews for complex building projects
Coordinate Project Coordinators’ plans examination and permit issuance




Facilitate regulatory discussions with design and construction professionals
Propose amendments on policy and code issues
Requirements: Architecture or civil or mechanical engineering degree
Registration or eligibility as British Columbia Professional Engineer or Architect
Experience interpreting Building By-law and other relevant standards
Familiarity with building design and construction materials
Certified Professionals Program completion preferred
