This Data and ML Platform Engineer role focuses on foundations that move machine learning proofs of concept into production. You will evolve feature stores, support MLflow, build gRPC serving services, and transition batch workloads toward real-time inference. The role also connects data ingestion, platform reliability, and product engineering needs.
Key Responsibilities: Move batch workloads toward real-time inference
Make LLM latency and costs visible
Take data science proofs of concept into production
Build, test, and operate with AI-assisted tools
Partner across data and product engineering teams
Requirements: Experience with MLflow and feature stores
Experience serving large language models
Solid Python and SQL skills
AI tool experimentation within engineering workflows
Clear communication across technical and non-technical teams
Use ML platform engineering, real-time inference, and AI fluency to strengthen Homebase products serving small businesses.
