Advise global private markets investments at PSP Investments as Director, Legal Affairs, applying transaction expertise and practical legal judgment in a hybrid mode.
Reporting to the Managing Director, Legal Affairs, Private Markets, you will support Private Equity, Infrastructure, Real Estate, and Natural Resources teams. Your work covers mergers and acquisitions, workouts, reorganizations, dispositions, joint ventures, financings, fund investments, and other transactions. You will also support Credit Investments and collaborate with global colleagues.
Key Responsibilities: Provide legal advice across private markets investment activities
Support transactions, workouts, reorganizations, and dispositions
Collaborate with Legal Operations on AI tools and technology
Manage external counsel for practical,



high-quality advice
Ensure investments comply with legislation, regulations, and policies
Requirements: Membership in a Canadian provincial or territorial Bar Association
At least ten years of relevant transaction experience
Expertise in international mergers and acquisitions
Experience with infrastructure, private equity, or real estate
English and French proficiency, or willingness to learn
Bring international transactions, negotiation, and stakeholder collaboration expertise to PSP Investments’ global Legal Affairs team.
