Within Amazon Advertising Sales, this Applied Scientist role focuses on AI agents that optimize account-team workflows and generate actionable advertising insights. You will apply Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and Recommender Systems. The work combines research, model development, production implementation, and continuous performance measurement. You will explain technical approaches to stakeholders and customers while collaborating with scientists, engineers, product managers, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities: Lead research on AI, NLP, LLM, and Reinforcement Learning solutions
Design and implement models and algorithms for Ad Sales
Run A/B experiments,



collect data, and perform statistical analysis
Improve analytics, training, deployment, and serving scalability
Translate scientific findings into actionable business recommendations
Requirements: Three-plus years building models for business applications
PhD, or master’s degree and four-plus years of relevant experience
Patents or publications in top-tier peer-reviewed venues
Programming experience in Java, C++, Python, or related languages
Algorithms, parsing, optimization, data mining, or distributed computing experience
