Build production-grade Python automation at Telesat in Canada, working with Pytest, APIs, asynchronous messaging, and Kubernetes environments.
This senior hands-on software development role designs frameworks and engineering tools for distributed, event-driven microservices. You will improve testability, shorten feedback cycles, diagnose failures, and create repeatable software-quality evidence. The work includes AI-assisted development, CI/CD integration, and automated validation across service-based workflows.
Key Responsibilities: Design and maintain reusable Python automation frameworks and packages
Develop Pytest tests, fixtures, plugins, and execution utilities
Validate REST APIs, gRPC services, and streaming patterns
Automate Azure Service Bus and Blob Storage workflows




Deploy and troubleshoot tests and services on Kubernetes
Requirements: Solid Python development, packaging, typing, and asynchronous programming experience
Deep understanding of Pytest architecture and plugin development
Experience building substantial automation frameworks and engineering tooling
Working knowledge of Java for scripts and utilities
