As a Senior Mechanical Engineer within AECOM Buildings + Places Canada, you will lead commercial, institutional, and light industrial assignments. Your work spans HVAC, plumbing, controls, fire protection, calculations, specifications, and construction administration. Projects may include water and wastewater treatment plants and sewage lift stations.
Key Responsibilities: Lead mechanical design delivery and construction administration
Design HVAC, controls, plumbing, and fire protection systems
Perform HVAC calculations using industry tools such as Carrier HAP
Coordinate disciplines, review drawings,



and support field investigations
Prepare specifications, reports, proposals, and inspection documentation
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
Six or more years designing HVAC and plumbing systems
Experience with commercial, institutional, and light industrial facilities
Alberta P.Eng. registration or ability to obtain
Knowledge of HVAC, hydronic systems, BMS controls, and sustainability approaches
