Job Summary We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Sales Clerk to join our team at Mattick's Farm. Our store has a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere where great customer service and building relationships with our customers are important. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong communication skills, pays attention to detail, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a smaller team. This position offers 24–40 hours per week, with availability required for both daytime and evening shifts, including at least one weekend day and two weekdays. Previous retail or liquor industry experience is an asset, but we're happy to train the right person Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive, and personalized service, including product recommendations.
- Operate the POS system accurately, including cash and credit/debit transactions.
- Maintain organized merchandising displays, restock shelves, and assist with inventory management.
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy.
- Balance customer service with daily store responsibilities, including working independently during evening shifts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, including age verification, cash handling, and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment. Qualifications
- Previous retail, customer service,



or liquor industry experience is an asset but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly, patient, and professional approach.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Comfortable working independently, taking initiative, and staying productive with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to a smaller team.
- Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of wines, spirits, beers, and ciders.
- Must meet the legal requirements to sell liquor in British Columbia, including applicable Serving It Right certification. Applicants must be available for:
- A minimum of one weekend day and two weekdays each week.
- Shifts scheduled between 11:00 am and 9:15 pm, including daytime and evening closing shifts.
- Typical shifts of 11:00 am–7:00 pm or 1:15 pm–9:15 pm, although shift times may vary.
- Occasional shorter shifts depending on operational requirements.
- Seasonal scheduling requirements, including the busy holiday period.
