- majority of work is in Edmonton area. This position is based out of Edmonton with short term travel from time to time. We are seeking a skilled Driller to join our team in a dynamic construction environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in heavy equipment operation and have experience with various drilling techniques. This role involves operating drilling machinery, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently. Responsibilities
- Operate Vermeer and Ditch Witch drilling equipment.
- Operate both Subsite and F5 locating equipment.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of machinery to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with construction teams to plan and execute drilling operations effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of drilling activities and report any issues or equipment malfunctions.
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices while operating heavy machinery on-site.
- Assist in the operation of additional heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and paving machinery as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on drilling equipment to ensure optimal performance. Skills
- Proficient in HDD equipment.
- Solid mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain drilling machinery effectively.
- Experience with horizontal drilling techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while adhering to safety standards.




- Previous experience in construction or related fields is highly desirable. - Reading and understanding of Utility Locates
- Executing field projects and building to design
- Proper Use of Directional Drills and Locating systems
- Completion of all Safety Daily Paperwork
- Work with Minimal Supervision
- Follow all HSE and quality procedures
- Participate in safety meetings on and off site
- Driving company vehicles in a safe manor Requirements Requirements for this position include:
- 2+ Years of HDD Drilling and Locating Experience
- Knowledge of working around underground utilities
- Ability to read and understand construction prints.
- Ability to read and understand utility locates.
- Physically fit and cable of lifting 50+lbs
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Valid Class 3 or 5 drivers licence.
- Reliable vehicle to get to and from work everyday
- Problem solving skills
- Safety conscious attitude Required Certificates
- Class 5 Drivers licence is a must have.
- Ground Disturbance Level 2 is a must have.
- CSTS 2020
- First Aid

Full-time Pay: $32.00-$40.00 per hour
