What we are looking for We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Technical Champion. As a Technical Champion on the Engineering team, you are responsible for acting as the technical lead on products we manufacture (new and revised parts) and provide support on the various manufacturing processes required to complete the products.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as the technical lead for all New Product Introductions, ensuring recent product designs will transition smoothly from design to production. This includes DFM.
- Review and redline customer or internal blueprints to optimize parts for our different production processes.
- Review engineering drawings to ensure correct material selections (e.g., specific steel/aluminum grades, gauges, etc) and hardware specs (e.g., PEM inserts) match our manufacturing capabilities.
- JIG design and implementation




- Provide support and at times training to production operators.
- Provide support for equipment evaluation.
- Support production operators by troubleshooting complex setups on CNC press brakes, turret punches, and laser cutters.
- Assist in selecting the right tooling (dies, punches, custom fixtures) and setting up optimal cutting/bending parameters for challenging materials.
- Jump in to resolve technical floor issues when a part is out of tolerance or causing downstream assembly bottlenecks.
- Review, evaluate, and execute Manufacturing Change Requests (MCRs) to correct design flaws, update routing steps, or implement cost-saving modifications.
- Develop and update operator set up sheets and other procedural documents. Preferred

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent technical diploma with extensive hands-on trade experience.

Experience:
3–5+ years of practical experience in a precision sheet metal manufacturing environment.
- Drawing Interpretation: knowledge of GD&T; and the ability to read complex fabrication blueprints.
- Strong familiarity with modern fabrication equipment (eg. Amada) and their physical constraints (bend radiuses, tonnage limits). Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
