Project Coordinator – Telecommunications ConstructionBAAC Construction is hiring an organized, proactive Project Coordinator to support the delivery of telecommunications construction projects across Alberta.Working closely with the Project Manager and field operations, you will keep projects running smoothly behind the scenes, managing schedules, locates, documentation, data, tracking, and reporting, and coordinating day to day with contractors and stakeholders.This position is ideal for someone with a telecommunications construction background who is confident with locates and data management, wants more ownership, and is comfortable working independently in a rapid-moving, growing company.LocationReporting office located in Calgary, AlbertaWhat You'll DoLocatesSubmit, track, and renew locate requests through Utility Safety PartnersMonitor ticket status and expiry dates so crews are never held upCoordinate with locators and keep contractors informed of locate statusProject Data & Document ControlEnter and maintain accurate, up-to-date project data, including production, locates, permits, and field recordsMaintain project documentation and document control, including:Drawings and permitsContractsRFIs and change ordersDaily reports, field reports, and site photosAssemble as-builts, test results, and close-out packagesScheduling, Tracking & ReportingUpdate project schedules and trackers with field progress, and prepare look-ahead reports for the Project ManagerTrack production quantities and reconcile them against subcontractor invoicesSupport purchase orders and cost trackingMaintain the project permit and approvals tracker with the permitting team,



flagging upcoming expiries and conditionsPrepare weekly progress reports and dashboardsCoordination & CommunicationCoordinate with field personnel and operations to keep information flowing between the field and the officeSchedule and coordinate project meetings, record minutes, and follow up on action itemsAct as a point of contact for contractors, landowners, and municipalities on routine matters, and log all communicationsSafetySupport safety documentation, including orientations, hazard assessments, and incident reportingWhat You BringRequired ExperienceHands-on experience in fibre or telecommunications construction, ideally in Alberta, with a solid understanding of field activities and terminologyConfident with locate processes and submitting and managing requests through Utility Safety PartnersFamiliarity with construction drawings, document control, and permitting processesComfortable coordinating directly with field personnel and operationsTechnical SkillsStrong data entry skills with a high level of accuracyExperience maintaining trackers, databases, and reporting toolsExperience with Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, and Trimble Construction One is considered an assetCore CompetenciesHighly organized,
