Our client sites across Kamloops, Merritt, and Ashcroft include vibrant post-secondary campuses, busy shopping centres, essential healthcare facilities, government buildings, and mobile patrol routes. You will work in energetic environments that keep you active while directly serving and protecting your local community.

What You'll Be Doing

This entry-level position provides full training sponsorship to help you earn your BC Security License through the Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC) via our education reimbursement program. Once trained and deployed, your daily responsibilities will depend on your assigned location:

- Hospitals and Health Clinics: Respond to safety alarms and emergency requests while using de-escalation skills to maintain a safe environment for healthcare workers, patients, and visitors.

- Colleges and Universities: Conduct regular foot patrols, monitor CCTV cameras, provide basic first aid support, handle lost and found items, and complete detailed incident reports.

- Government Buildings: Patrol indoor and outdoor premises, monitor building entrances, authorize visitor access, secure exits, and respond to alarms.

- Shopping Centres: Maintain a visible security presence, perform patrols, assist tenants and members of the public, enforce site rules, conduct investigations, and take a lead role during emergency incidents.

- Mobile Division: Respond swiftly to property alarms, inspect sites for security breaches or property damage, and support our Operations Centre team during emergencies.

Must Haves





- Do not currently hold a valid BC Security License (this opening is specifically designed for unlicensed individuals seeking initial certification).

- Legal authorization to work in Canada.

- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to write detailed incident reports that may be used in legal proceedings.

- Previous experience or volunteer background in customer service.

- Confidence communicating directly with team members, client personnel, emergency services, and the public.

- Physical capability to stand and walk for the majority of a shift across various surfaces, stairwells, parkades, and outdoor environments in all weather conditions.

- Comfortable approaching and taking charge during challenging or high-stress situations.

- Basic technical skills to write reports on a computer, log patrols on a smartphone, and communicate via a two-way radio.

Nice-to-Haves

- A valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle.

- Valid Basic First Aid certification or other relevant safety credentials.
