Westwood is looking for an energetic and passionate Quoting Specialist to join their team.

The Quoting Specialist works in conjunction with the sales group, and provides outstanding customer service and administrative support to local showroom sales designers by analyzing and interpreting lay out designs, into a customer quote.

The role
Our showroom designers create kitchens. You turn their designs into accurate quotes. Working from the designer’s layouts and elevations, you’ll build the quote in our in-house quoting system, catch what’s missing or won’t work before it reaches the customer, and get it back to the designer quickly. You’ll report to our Order Entry and Quoting Supervisor and work closely with our showroom designers, our Retail and Contractor Sales Manager, and the teams who build and deliver every kitchen. We’ll train you on our systems and products.

What you’ll do

- Work quotes in priority order from a queue managed by the Order Entry and Quoting Manager.
- Read cabinet layouts and elevations from our showroom designers and turn them into complete, accurate quotes in our quoting system.
- Check each design for missing details, conflicting specs, and items that need a special modification or engineering review, and raise them with the designer before the quote goes out.
- Apply the correct pricing, discounts and options to each quote.




- Track open quotes and follow up with designers so nothing sits waiting.
- Revise quotes as designs change, and keep each version clean and traceable.
- Hand complete, accurate information to order entry when a quote becomes an order.
- Work with engineering, production, installation, service and warehouse to answer questions, resolve issues, and make sure what we quote is what we can build, ship and install.
- Suggest improvements when you see the same questions or errors coming up again.

What you bring

- Strong attention to detail. In this job, one wrong dimension or finish code costs real money.
- Robust math skills, including fractions, decimals and quick, accurate measurement calculations.
- Comfort working in both imperial and metric, or a willingness to learn to convert between them accurately.
- Comfort learning new software quickly.
- A team-first attitude. You’ll work every day with designers and with the Retail and Contractor Sales Manager, and regularly with engineering, production, installation, service and warehouse. You can explain a problem clearly, ask the right question, and keep the relationship strong when you’re the one pointing out a mistake.
- The ability to manage many quotes at once and keep them moving.
- Willingness to learn cabinet construction, materials and terminology. We’ll teach you.

Nice to have





- An understanding of cabinet construction and engineering, such as box construction, reveals, fillers, scribes and finished ends.
- Previous experience at a cabinet, millwork or furniture manufacturer, in production, the shop, engineering or the office.
- Experience in quoting, estimating, order desk or customer service, ideally in cabinetry, millwork, windows/doors, or building supply.
- Familiarity with reading floor plans, shop drawings or kitchen design layouts (2020 Design experience is a bonus).
- Experience with an ERP or quoting system.
