Expedia Cruises and The McLeod Travel Group are seeking an experienced and people-focused Regional Operations Manager to support our three Vancouver Island locations.

This leadership role combines team development, recruitment, operational oversight, client service excellence, and business growth. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Sales and Franchise Owner to support Travel Advisors, resolve client and team issues, recruit current talent, and help drive performance across the organization.

As a visible leader within our offices, you will play a key role in creating a positive culture, supporting advisor success, and ensuring a consistently exceptional client experience.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

- Serve as a leadership presence across our three Vancouver Island locations.
- Support advisors with day-to-day challenges, questions, and business development opportunities.
- Address client service concerns and assist with the resolution of escalated client issues.
- Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative culture across all teams.
- Support advisor accountability, engagement, and performance.
- Assist in implementing company initiatives, processes, and best practices.
- Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for operational improvement and business growth.

Recruitment & Talent Development

- Lead recruitment efforts across our three Vancouver Island locations, building a pipeline of talented Travel Advisors and future leaders.
- Develop relationships within the community to identify and attract potential candidates.
- Conduct interviews and guide candidates through the onboarding process.
- Develop recruitment campaigns, networking initiatives, and referral programs.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of prospective Travel Advisors.

Advisor Coaching & Development





- Support Travel Advisors during their first two years in the business.
- Help advisors create business plans and growth strategies.
- Conduct regular coaching and accountability meetings.
- Connect advisors with training, mentorship, and development opportunities.
- Monitor advisor progress and celebrate milestones and achievements.
- Help advisors build confidence, professionalism, and sustainable travel businesses.

Business Growth

- Partner with the Director of Sales and Franchise Owner to execute recruitment, coaching, and growth strategies that strengthen advisor success and drive business performance across our Vancouver Island locations.
- Monitor key performance indicators related to advisor development, recruitment, retention, and productivity.
- Support initiatives that improve client satisfaction, advisor engagement, and overall business performance.
- Participate in networking, marketing, and community engagement activities that promote Expedia Cruises and The McLeod Travel Group.

QualificationsRequired

- Experience in leadership, operations, recruitment, coaching, business development, sales management, or team management.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to motivate, coach, and inspire others.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong growth mindset.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred

- Experience working with entrepreneurs, independent contractors, or sales professionals.
- Travel industry experience is an asset but not required.
- Experience leading teams across multiple locations.
- Experience recruiting, developing, and retaining talent.





Compensation & Benefits

- Salary: $60,000-$70,000 per year

Employment Requirements

- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Ability to travel regularly between Vancouver Island locations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Successful candidates will be required to complete a satisfactory criminal record check as a condition of employment.
