Lead physical, asset, and personnel security for VIDO’s high-containment research setting in Saskatoon, supporting infectious disease preparedness and vaccine development.

As Security Manager, you will oversee security activities across the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization and University of Saskatchewan partnerships. Your work will cover access control, personnel screening, risk assessment, incident response, and protection of sensitive research.

You will also contribute to biosecurity, information protection, and research-security activities across containment level 2, 3, and 4 environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead personnel screening and facility-access coordination
- Develop security policies, procedures, training, and controls
- Advise senior leaders on risks and mitigation strategies




- Coordinate incident responses and security breach investigations
- Manage contracted services and onsite security personnel

Requirements:

- Relevant undergraduate degree and at least 10 years’ experience
- Experience in physical and personnel security
- Experience with risk assessment and access control
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to obtain required security clearances
