Residential Retrofit (Retro) Lead

Legacy Heating & Cooling is one of Alberta’s fastest-growing HVAC & Plumbing contractors, known for quality retrofit installations and strong customer service. We are currently seeking an experienced Residential Retro Lead to run residential replacement installs and lead retrofit crews in the field.

The Retro Lead is a hands-on, hourly position responsible for leading residential retrofit installations from start to finish while working directly on the tools.

Key Responsibilities

· Installation of HVAC equipment (Furnaces, Air conditioners, garage heaters, hot water tanks & more)

· Direct and support retrofit helper(s) on site

· Ensure installations meet company, manufacturer, and safety standards

· Perform system setup, commissioning, and testing

· Maintain a clean, professional job site and positive customer experience

· Duct work (renovations/furnace replacements)

· Collect of payment upon completion of installation

· Basic vehicle maintenance and daily vehicle inspections

· Customer orientation of equipment upon completion of installation





· Train and mentor retrofit helpers and apprentices

· Communicate job progress and issues with Install Supervisor or Manager

Qualifications & Experience

· 3+ years residential HVAC installation experience

· Strong retrofit/replacement experience required

· Ability to lead a helper while working hands-on

· Valid driver’s license and clean abstract

· Journeyman certification considered an asset
