Job Profile:

The Electronic Monitoring Center (EMC) monitors individuals who have been fitted with an Electronic Monitored GPS Ankle Bracelet as part of their Bail, Parole, or other release conditions. Candidate will work closely with Law Enforcement, Correctional Institutions, Crown Prosecutors, Criminal Defense Attorneys, Parole Officers, and Provincial Representatives as applicable. The available position is dynamic and requires a dedicated and involved staff member. We will supply all required training for the successful candidates.

Our role is to:





- Actively monitor each individual enrolled in the monitoring program and their movements
- Action all alarms or alerts that occur in the time required
- Create incident and court briefs when an incident does occur
- Assess the movements of each individual and determine if it meets their release conditions
- Action requests by individuals, lawyers, and police
- Provide information to enroll individuals
- Use the software to update and maintain individual files
- Use email and phone to communicate with individuals, monitoring centers, police and lawyers

Attributes that you MUST have to join the EMC Team:

- Successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check
- Successfully obtain both the Child Abuse Registry and Adult Abuse Registry Checks
- Currently have or have the ability to receive a Federal Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance (5 years living in Canada)
- Currently possess a fully graduated Class 5 Provincial Driver’s License
- Be capable of obtaining a Commissionaires’ Vehicle Operator Permit
- Have proven ability to communicate in a skilled clear and concise manner to all involved (Police, Accused, Family)




- Possess the ability to create & write emails that clarifies and articulates all relevant discussion points
- Be able to multitask, above average ability
- Maintain confidentiality as private information is disclosed
- Be able to handle stressful and emotionally charged situations
- Be able to work independently, but in a team environment
- Be able to work shifts which include, days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- To be able to take calls when you are on shift
- Be able to take on a task, complete it with due diligence and professionalism
- Be able to create and maintain appropriate documentation
- Provide excellent Customer Service, maintaining a professional and respectful relationship
- Ability to follow processes exactly as written
- Excellent attention to detail

Hours of Work: listed shift times may change
Overnight shifts: 0000-0800 hrs. and 2000-0800 hrs.
Day shifts: 0800-1600 hrs. and 0800-2000 hrs.
Evening shifts: 1600-0000 hrs. and 1200-2000 hrs.
