This role is ideal for professionals who take pride in their work, consistently deliver high-quality service, and can operate safely and professionally in a fast-paced setting while representing the company.We are an equal opportunity employer and encourage applications from all qualified individuals, including Indigenous peoples, visible minorities, and women.ResponsibilitiesSafely operate company vehicles to transport freight across Canada and the United StatesComplete deliveries and pickups to customer locations within Canada and the United States in a safe, timely, and professional mannerOperate tractor-trailer, flatbed, dry van, reefer or straight truck equipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirementsSecure freight using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, and load bars, ensuring compliance with load-securement standardsTransport general freight in accordance with safety and regulatory guidelinesConduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights,



and cargo securement; promptly report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs.Accurately complete all required documentation, including e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork, and incident reportsMaintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and company proceduresMaintain flexibility to meet operational and customer demands, including variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as requiredCore RequirementsValid Class 1 driver's licenseFAST Card required for Cross BorderBondable and legally eligible to work in CanadaClean CVOR and driver's abstractVerifiable recent commercial driving experienceStrong understanding of road safety regulations, hours of service, and load securementExperience operating commercial vehicles in winter driving conditionsAbility to accurately complete eLogs, vehicle inspection reports, and delivery documentationPhysically able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as requiredStrong customer service and communication skills with a professional, safety-focused approachMinimum 1 year of verifiable Class 1 driving experienceStrong knowledge of Vancouer and surrounding areasPrevious experience operating specialized equipment, including tailgates, forklifts, power and manual pallet jacks, pump trucks, or Moffett'sAbility to safely perform hand-bombing, including manual loading and unloading of freight, as required#WorkatCanadaCartage
