We are seeking an experienced by hand welder to join our shop team!

Responsibilities:

- Perform welding by hand in a fabrication shop as directed
- Willing to train and mentor other newer/younger welders
- Perform work in a safe and productive manner, following all Strait safety requirements and procedures
- Maintain housekeeping of work area
- Communicate effectively with the team and maintain a positive work environment

What do we require?

- Previous experience fabricating structural steel and pipe/spooling fabrication
- Able to read and understand drawings, ISO's, and weld symbols and to follow procedures and material codes.




- Previous experience utilizing overhead cranes and operating small equipment (skid steers, etc.)
- Ticketed CWB welder for FCAW & SMAW and pipe/pressure welding ticket
- Stainless Steel/Tig welding ticket & experience considered an asset
- All current, valid safety tickets required by Strait. H2S & First Aid not required but considered an asset.

Note: Must be local to Fort St. John or able to reliably commute for work each day. This is not a camp based position.
