Overview

Our client, an established large-format printing and custom fabrication company in the Greater Toronto Area, is seeking an experienced, hands-on Production Manager to oversee daily production operations, lead a skilled team, and ensure the successful execution of projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge of large-format digital printing, Kongsberg and/or Zünd cutting systems, Adobe Creative Suite. This role requires a proactive leader who is comfortable working directly on the production floor, troubleshooting challenges, supporting operators, and ensuring all projects meet client specifications, quality standards, and production deadlines.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily production activities, including large-format printing, digital cutting, finishing, and custom fabrication.
- Manage, train, and support a production team of five or more employees.
- Coordinate production schedules, workloads, and resources to ensure timely project completion.
- Monitor operators regularly to ensure job instructions and client specifications are followed accurately.
- Troubleshoot printing, cutting, finishing, and fabrication challenges.
- Provide technical support for large-format printers and Kongsberg/Zünd cutting equipment.
- Review artwork, production files, measurements,



and job specifications using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and RIP software.
- Support custom fabrication projects requiring carpentry, assembly, and material-handling skills.
- Maintain strong quality-control standards while minimizing errors, rework, and material waste.
- Promote a collaborative, organized, and efficient production workplace.

Requiremnts:

- Five or more years of experience in large-format digital printing, signage, or wide-format production, including previous production management experience.
- Proven experience supervising and managing a production team of at least five employees.
- Strong technical knowledge of large-format digital printers and Kongsberg and/or Zünd digital cutting systems.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Fiery RIP software.
- Strong mathematical skills, particularly measurements, dimensions, scaling, and material calculations.
- Ability to interpret production drawings, job tickets, artwork specifications, and detailed client instructions.
- Experience overseeing printing, cutting, and finishing workflows to ensure quality and efficiency.

Pay: $60,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
