Job Summary:

The General Labourer plays a key role in supporting daily production, shop operations, and light shipping activities. This position involves assisting skilled operators, handling materials, preparing orders for shipment, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the setup and operation of production equipment and machinery
- Handle, move, and organize materials, tools, and finished products
- Support die-making processes including assembly, cleaning, and preparation
- Perform basic quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment




- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
- Assist with packaging finished products and preparing orders for shipment
- Support light shipping duties including labeling, wrapping, and staging orders for pickup
- Load and unload shipments as required (manually or with equipment, if trained)
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets

Qualifications & Skills

- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse/shipping environment is an asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, standing, bending)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude is considered an asset
- Familiarity with shipping processes or documentation is an asset
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Working Conditions
