About Savvy
Savvy Law Firm Marketing is the legal marketing division of Savvy Search Marketing, established in 2005. We help law firms across Canada and the United States attract more qualified inquiries through SEO, local search, paid advertising, websites and lead tracking.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on SEO consultant who can independently assess existing law firm accounts, identify what needs to improve, and drive agreed work through implementation and verification.
You should be comfortable challenging existing approaches, investigating why previous work has not delivered the intended results, and recommending practical changes supported by evidence.
You will work with our content, web and project specialists, personally completing work within your expertise and providing clear requirements for work delivered by others. Building and improving reusable AI workflows is an important part of this engagement.
What You Will Do
- Lead account audits covering technical SEO, website content, local visibility, business listings, authority and conversion opportunities.
- Investigate crawlability, indexing, site structure, internal linking, metadata, structured data and mobile usability.
- Review Google Business Profiles, categories, services, reviews, citations and local competitor visibility.
- Identify inconsistent business information, outdated locations, duplicate listings and incomplete attorney profiles, and establish correction plans.
- Assess practice area pages, location pages, attorney biographies and content gaps. Recommend improvements, new content or consolidation where justified.
- Evaluate visibility in organic search, Google Maps and AI-generated answers, separating verified observations from assumptions.
- Use Search Console, analytics, local ranking and lead-quality data to prioritise work that supports qualified inquiries.
- Produce concise implementation plans with priorities, responsibilities, dependencies and clear completion criteria.
- Implement changes within your expertise and coordinate work with our web and content specialists.
- Verify completed work on live websites and external platforms, resolve blockers and assess subsequent results.
- Build, test and improve reusable AI skills, prompts and workflows for research, audits, planning, implementation and quality control.
- Communicate clearly about progress, findings and unresolved issues.
What You Bring
- Substantial hands-on SEO experience, including account diagnosis, prioritisation and implementation.
- Robust practical knowledge of technical SEO, on-site optimisation, local SEO, Google Business Profiles, citations and content strategy.
- Experience interpreting Google Search Console, analytics, crawl and local ranking data.
- Evidence of taking recommendations through to completed work and measurable results.
- Practical AI experience beyond generating content, including reusable workflows, quality checks and source verification.
- Clear written communication and the ability to give actionable instructions to developers, writers and account coordinators.
- The ability to work independently within an agreed scope and collaborate effectively with an established team.
Law firm SEO experience is strongly preferred. Exceptional experience in other competitive lead-generation industries will also be considered. Custom software development is not required.
Engagement Details
- Independent contractor engagement, based in Canada.
- Fully remote, with occasional mutually arranged in-person meetings for consultants in Greater Vancouver or the Lower Mainland.
- Minimum availability of 10–15 hours per week, with scope, deliverables and working arrangements agreed together.
- Contractor rate of CA$50–$90 per hour, depending on relevant experience and demonstrated ability.
- We expect to begin with a paid account audit and improvement project. Successful delivery may lead to ongoing work across additional accounts.
