Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to clients in home, helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals. This role is essential in supporting patients in their recovery journey, particularly in pediatric and acute care settings.

Responsibilities

- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Conduct therapeutic activities that promote patient independence and improve daily living skills.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercises.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for therapy sessions.

Skills

- Proficiency in medical terminology to effectively communicate within the healthcare setting.




- Experience or knowledge in pediatrics, particularly in adapting therapy techniques for children.
- Familiarity with acute care practices, understanding the unique needs of patients in this setting.
- Solid interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families.
- Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple patient cases effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 20.0 per week
