Title: Security Guard

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour

Site Overview

Our client sites span across the Thompson, Cariboo, Shuswap, Okanagan, and Kootenay regions. These locations focus on providing safe, welcoming environments for businesses, visitors, and local communities, combining active site protection with everyday customer service.

What You'll Be Doing

- Patrol assigned sites to monitor for safety hazards and security risks.

- Manage access control points and verify visitor identification.

- Monitor CCTV systems, alarm panels, and security equipment.

- Respond calmly and effectively to incidents, site emergencies, and service calls.

- Enforce client site rules and property policies.

- Assist visitors and staff with helpful, professional customer service.

- Write clear, detailed shift logs and incident reports.

- Communicate directly with site supervisors, client management, and emergency services when required.

Must Haves

- Valid BC Security Licence.

- BC Class 5 driver's license.

- Strong communication and report-writing skills.

- Ability to remain composed and qualified during high-pressure situations.

- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice-to-Haves

- Valid Basic First Aid certification.

- Previous experience in security or customer service.

- Hands-on experience with mobile patrols, access control systems, or CCTV monitoring.

- Reliable personal transportation tailored to site requirements.
