· Job Overview:

· We are seeking a qualified, competent, and dedicated Safety Officer to join our team. The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, Transport Canada regulations, implementing current policies as needed, and promoting a safe work environment.

·

· Responsibilities:

· - Conduct and coordinate regular safety meetings with staff and crew.

· - Ensure new and existing employees adhere to safe operating procedures for all positions.

· - Stay current on industry best practices and regulatory requirements

· - Document and coordinate Injury Management and Return to Work policies in conjunction with Worksafe BC directives.

· Maintain and update certification records, and coordinate renewal of various safety certifications required by personel.

·

· Qualifications:

· - Certified BASE Internal Auditor through BC Forest Safety Coucil





· - Occupational First Aid Level 3 (OFA3) Ticket

· - Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, Transport Canada regulations, and marine industry standards

· - 3 years of relevant Experience in a Safety Role

· - Excellent communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00-$42.50 per hour
